Разработан с прицелом на полную автоматизацию процессов резервирования. Каждая задача представляет собой скрипт, содержащий список файлов и директорий, подлежащих резервированию. Для программы не проблема создать резервный архив объемом в 700 Mб, чтобы впоследствии записать его в режиме пакетной записи на CD-R/RW диск. AISBackup provides a managed backup of data and the Operating System of Windows PC's and Server's to CD, DVD, Internal and External Disk drives, Networked drives, FTP Servers and all other media that looks like a disk to Windows. Feedback has told us that some Users are happy using AISBackup to backup and restore data from their Mac and Linux computers using network shares. However, AISBackup is not suitable for backing up or restoring the Operating System from Mac or Linux computers.

Возможности программы:
- возможность резервирования данных как на локальных дисках, так и на дисковых пространствах локальной сети, CD-R/CD-RW дисках (используя, например, программу пакетной записи Easy СD Creator);
- основной формат архива — zip, который может быть прочитан любым архиватором, поддерживающим данный формат;
- возможность резервирования автоматически по расписанию, или использовать для этого возможности Microsoft Task Scheduler, причем допускается установка временных интервалов резервирования: раз в день или при каждой загрузке ОС;
- при резервировании по расписанию каждый раз при создании нового backup-файла создается новая сессия, включающая в себя все данные ранних backup-файлов и вновь созданные файлы в директориях, подлежащих резервному копированию;
- архивы могут быть зашифрованы паролями 2-х типов, один из которых позволит проникать в zip-архивы только посредством AIS Backup;

Changes:
- Improved handling of user moving backups without using the built in options. The Manage Backup / Move Backup Destination option was not originally designed to correct backups that had been moved manually, but move the backup itself; using this option to complete a manual move caused a major problem with some backup jobs as the backup contents file was reset - this process has been updated to enable the Move Backup Destination option to complete manual moving of backup data.
- Disk based backups manually transferred to an FTP site would not open via Tools / Open Job From FTP Server AISBackup has been changed to allow this. For this option to work the backup must be transferred to the FTP Directory that is specified in the FTP options. Please note that AISBackup was not designed to enable manually moving a backup to an FTP server and the job should have been created as an FTP job and if you want to delay the upload (or manually transfer the backup data) the Manage Backup / Change backup job settings / FTP Settings / Enable manual transfer option should have been used instead.

Fixes:
- The backup log e-mail was not sent in 64-bit Windows.
